Account Deletion

Effective October 1, 2026 · Updated October 1, 2026 · Version 1.0

You can delete a Zellwork account from Settings in the app. Deletion is permanent in the product. There is no undo and no waiting period.

How to delete an account

  1. Open the Zellwork app and sign in with the email code for that account.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Read the confirmation and confirm.

The app shows a deleting screen while the request runs. If it succeeds, you are signed out and the account is gone. If it fails, the account is still there and the app tells you it failed. Try again, or email support from the account email.

There is no delete button on the public website. The website can explain deletion, but the action runs from the signed-in app, because only that session can authorize the deletion of that user.

What deletion removes

When deletion succeeds, Zellwork deletes:

  • The Personal Card saved for the account.
  • The Provider Card saved for the account, including services, products, and the other fields stored on that card.
  • Profile links stored for the account.
  • The profile itself, including the email, display name, and username on that record.
  • Image files uploaded for that account in Personal Card storage and Provider Card storage.
  • The sign-in user, so a new code to that email creates a new account rather than reopening the deleted one.

On the phone that finished the deletion, the app also clears its local Zellwork data, including the saved session and card drafts. If you were signed in on another phone, remove the app or sign out there. That device is not wiped by the server.

What happens to public links

zellwork.app/username and zellwork.app/provider/username stop returning the cards, because the cards and the username on the profile are deleted. The username is freed. Someone else can claim it later. Their new card does not inherit your old images or your old reports.

A link preview already cached by Messages or another app can linger until that app refreshes it. Zellwork cannot clear another company’s cache. Screenshots and copies other people downloaded are also outside the deletion.

Reports and other records that can remain

Reports about the public link are kept for safety, in reduced form. The username on those reports is replaced with a deleted-account marker that is not your public handle. The optional details you or a reporter typed are cleared. The browser user-agent stored on the report is cleared. The report no longer points at the freed username, so a future account with the same name does not pick up the old report.

Email you already sent to support, privacy, or legal may remain as correspondence. Ordinary hosting logs may still contain an IP address or a request line for the host’s normal log window. Deletion does not promise that every log line vanishes at the same second as the account.

Zellwork does not keep the card, the gallery, or the sign-in account “just in case” after a successful deletion. If the deletion errors before it finishes, nothing should be treated as deleted until the app says it succeeded. A failed run can leave the account intact so you can retry.

Hidden cards are not the same as deletion

If Zellwork has hidden a card or disabled the account, the public link already returns nothing, but the account still exists. Deletion is the step that removes the stored card and the images. You do not need Zellwork to unhide a card before you delete the account. Sign in and use Settings if the sign-in still works.

Home listing disappears with the account because the profile and the Provider Card are deleted. There is no separate subscription to cancel. Nothing is billed.

Deletion cannot be undone

There is no restore button. A new sign-in with the same email starts a new account. You would have to rebuild a card and choose a username that is still available. The old public link does not come back with the old content.

If deletion fails

Email support@zellwork.com from the account email. Include the username and the time you tried. Do not send identity documents unless a reply asks for something specific. Support can also help if you cannot sign in to reach Settings.

Images are deleted with the account

Profile photos, covers, heroes, link images, service images, product images, and gallery images stored for the account are deleted from card storage as part of the same deletion. If a file is still visible on the public page, deletion did not finish. Wait for the app to say it succeeded before you assume the photos are gone.

The sign-in record is deleted too. A later code to the same email does not reopen the old cards. It starts over.

Version history

Version 1.0, effective October 1, 2026. Matches the account-deletion process in the app: cards, profile, media, and the sign-in user are deleted; reports are scrubbed and retained.
